Account and Data Deletion
Effective: July 17, 2026
This page applies to ClearRoute RV accounts created on the web, Android, or iOS. You can request deletion without reinstalling the app or signing in on a particular device.
Request complete account deletion
- Email us from the address registered to your ClearRoute account.
- Use the subject Delete my ClearRoute RV account.
- Include the account email address and tell us that you want the account and associated data deleted. Do not send your password, payment-card details, or government identification.
- Complete the email-verification step we send you. We may ask for limited additional information if the request does not come from the registered address.
If the button does not open your email app, send the request to [email protected]. We normally complete a verified request within 30 days and will confirm when deletion is complete.
What we delete
After verification, we delete or de-identify the following information from active ClearRoute systems:
- Your ClearRoute account, email address, display name, password hash, verification state, and active sessions or account-recovery tokens.
- Server-synchronized saved routes, favorites, and RV profile information contained in synchronized data.
- Public shared-trip links, their route contents, and the display name attached to those links.
- Safety-agreement acceptance records associated with the account, except where a limited record must be retained for a legal claim or obligation.
- ClearRoute entitlement and billing-customer associations that are not required for accounting, payment disputes, fraud prevention, or law.
What may be retained
- Deleted data may remain in restricted, rotating backups for up to 90 days before being overwritten. It is not restored to active use except for disaster recovery or security needs.
- Limited billing, tax, subscription, fraud-prevention, and transaction records may be retained for up to seven years when reasonably necessary for legal, accounting, or payment-dispute obligations.
- Security records or information connected to an active dispute, investigation, court order, or legal claim may be kept for as long as reasonably necessary.
- We may retain a minimal record that the deletion request was verified and completed so we can demonstrate compliance and prevent abuse.
Payment providers such as Stripe, Google Play, or Apple may retain transaction data under their own legal obligations and privacy policies.
Delete selected data without deleting the account
You can delete individual saved routes and favorites inside ClearRoute. You may also email [email protected] from your registered address and describe the specific account data you want deleted. We will explain what can be removed while keeping the account active.
Subscriptions and local device data
Cancel recurring billing separately. Deleting a ClearRoute account does not necessarily cancel a subscription sold by Google Play, Apple, or Stripe. Cancel it through the store subscription settings or ClearRoute billing portal to prevent future renewal.
Account deletion removes synchronized server data. Data stored only on your phone, tablet, or browser remains until you sign out, clear the app or browser storage, or uninstall the app.
