Account and Data Deletion

This page applies to ClearRoute RV accounts created on the web, Android, or iOS. You can request deletion without reinstalling the app or signing in on a particular device.

Delete my ClearRoute RV account

Confirm your identity below. Deletion is permanent: your account, saved trips, favorites, shared-trip links, community posts and photos, support content, and synchronized profile are removed from our active database immediately. All account sessions are revoked.

We also request cancellation of subscriptions billed directly by ClearRoute through Stripe. Billing cleanup normally starts within one minute; a provider outage can delay it. Apple or Google subscriptions, if any, must be canceled separately in Apple subscriptions or Google Play subscriptions. You can delete immediately regardless of subscription status.

If you cannot use this form, email [email protected] from your registered address. Do not send your password, payment-card details, or government identification. We normally complete verified support requests within 30 days and confirm completion.

What we delete

After confirmation, we delete the following information from our active account database:

• Your ClearRoute account, email address, display name, password hash, verification state, and active sessions or account-recovery tokens.
• Server-synchronized saved routes, favorites, and RV profile information contained in synchronized data.
• Public shared-trip links, their route contents, and the display name attached to those links.
• Community posts and photos, support tickets and attachments, feature requests, and account-linked usage records.
• Safety-agreement acceptance records associated with the account, except where a limited record must be retained for a legal claim or obligation.
• ClearRoute entitlement and billing-customer associations that are not required for accounting, payment disputes, fraud prevention, or law.

What may be retained

• Deleted data may remain in restricted, rotating backups for up to 90 days before being overwritten. It is not restored to active use except for disaster recovery or security needs.
• Limited billing, tax, subscription, fraud-prevention, and transaction records may be retained for up to seven years when reasonably necessary for legal, accounting, or payment-dispute obligations.
• Security records or information connected to an active dispute, investigation, court order, or legal claim may be kept for as long as reasonably necessary.
• We retain a Stripe customer reference in a retry queue until provider deletion succeeds. It contains no email, password, or card details. Delayed billing events for a removed account cannot restore access.

Payment providers such as Stripe, Google Play, or Apple may retain transaction data under their own legal obligations and privacy policies.

Delete selected data without deleting the account

You can delete individual saved routes and favorites inside ClearRoute. You may also email [email protected] from your registered address and describe the specific account data you want deleted. We will explain what can be removed while keeping the account active.

Subscriptions and local device data

Cancel recurring billing separately for Apple or Google Play. We submit Stripe customer deletion automatically, which cancels subscriptions on that customer when Stripe completes it. Deletion does not issue a refund. Contact support if you receive an unexpected renewal after deletion.

Account deletion removes synchronized server data. This page clears ClearRoute browser storage after successful deletion. The mobile app clears synchronized account data and pending sync work when it next connects and detects the revoked session. For a device kept offline, clear its app storage or uninstall it to remove remaining local data and downloaded packs. Copies other people previously downloaded or cached may remain on their devices.
